Pee Cheek Mountain

Ok, this post has a lot of explaining to do....
Never heard of Pee Cheek Mountain?  Well this is how it got it's name.  At least the name we gave it.  What are Pee Cheeks you ask?  That was my question too.  So one day, we were eating dinner when Elena, out of the blue asks me what Pee Cheeks are.  I said, I have no idea I think it is just a nonsense word.  She responded back to me as....No mom, they are like Butt Cheeks, but here in the front.  At first I was kind of like...roll my eyes at her, as she is notorious for talking potty talk and taking advantage of every situation that might allow her to use a "bathroom word"  without getting in trouble.  But than as I thought about the word Pee Cheeks, I thought...you know, that is quite cleaver and I actually am ok using that term to describe that area. So we have gotten a good laugh as we have told others this new term.  So to make matters even more...awkward.  The other day Elena and I were driving home from running a few errands.  She likes to look out the window at the clouds and says stuff like..."oh my gosh!!  a princess and a unicorn, or that one looks just like a heart shaped balloon."  Well this time it wasn't a cloud, it was a mountain range way off in the distance. Soooo here it goes.............wait for it..............."Hey mom!!!  Those mountains look just like my Pee Cheeks....I of course am cracking up inside, but remember she is one to try and get away with saying inappropriate things at appropriate times.....so I didn't want to fuel the fire.  So I gave my normal response to any other object she spots out her window.  "Yes, sweet heart, that looks just like it."  Any ways I had been meaning to tell Matt about this, but I kept forgetting.  So last Saturday, we took the Ranger on this loop Matt wanted us to go on.  We had packed a breakfast and headed out early in the morning.  As we were driving, Matt pointed to the mountain range we were headed to.  "See those three peeks way out there?".... You guessed it, we were headed to Pee Cheek Mountain!!!  So yes...we had a day full of fun and songs about Pee Cheek Mountain.  "She'll be coming round Pee Cheek Mountain when she comes" "High on Pee Cheek Mountain a Banner is unfurled"  "To the top, to the top, to the top of Pee Cheek Mountain"  "Climb Pee Cheek Mountain"  ....ok fire fueled.  We did have an AWESOME time!!!!  So much fun!!!!!  We are really loving this Ranger, it is so nice to go for a "hike/drive" and cover so much area and not be tired at all.  We love to take brakes and the kids just play and play and play.  You will see a few pictures that we took.  One is of Pee Cheek Mountain.. I took this while I was at a red light....not the best picture, but it gives you a mental picture of what Elena saw in the mountain. (If you really want a mental picture of that.)  Another is a heart shaped cactus Cody found and then another heart that Matt and I made with our shadows. (I saw this done on another blog, liked it and copied it.  I think I might even do it again sometime.) I love it when we have these great days as a family.
