Valentines' Day!!!!

Valentines Day is such a fun holiday, I know some people are V-Day haters, but I really love it!!  But it is a tricky day to plan things...Hard to get a babysitter, crowded restaurants and never know if Matt will be home on time or have a late night.  I don't think we have ever gone out on Valentines Day, I would much rather be home with the ones I love.  So this year I decided to do Fondue.  We have been toying with the idea of taking to the kids to the Melting Pot for chocolate Fondue, but just have never really thought they would appreciate it for what it is.  But this here at home was a huge hit!!!!  The kids LOVED it! A couple of weeks ago I was talking to my neighbor across the street and she loved the fondue idea too.  Since we just need a few of each item to dip, we each bought some of the things and then divided in half and gave to the other person.  It worked out so well.  For the Cheese we dipped apples and baguette bread and for the Chocolate we dipped strawberries, cheese cake, heat shaped brownie bites, heat shaped Rice Crispy treats, pound cake, heart shaped marshmallows, and peppermint marshmallows.  Seriously we all had so much fun dipping and eating.  And after taking a look at Elena's pants when she was done eating.....I was convinced that we made the right decisions by not taking the kids to the Melting Pot.  We also frosted and decorated cookies.  I purposely only had a few left over after making some for Cody's school class and then for teachers. Another little odd ball info about V-day is Elena's heart hair.  I did this last year for the first time and it turned out really cute.  (you can click here if you really want to see it)  So I was for sure going to do it again this year.  So on the 13th Elena had her Valentine Day Party at Pre-K.  I was all excited to have her cute heart hair...but something went very wrong and we suddenly were pushing time with getting her to school on time. Time decided that we would have no heart hair.  And then on Valentines Day....life just kind of happened and no heart hair again.  But on the 15th I figured better late than never, so I gave it another try.  This time I had success....however it was pretty much a mess by the time anyone saw it.  Oh well the proof is in the picture.  Any ways we had a great Valentines Day and I couldn't be more happy and in love with my three very special Valentines!!!!!
