It

is hard to find an Easter Dress for Elena that is not sleeveless. I mean come on people we live in Utah, it is too cold to ware a sun dress in the beginning of April. Especially when you are only 1 years old. What’s that??? you say just buy a cute sweater to go over the top.

Ya remember it is April and all there is is short shorts and tankys out in the stores. Humm. But I found this cute little dress, that wasn’t too dressy for a white t-shirt to go underneath. Now to get her to look at the camera and smile, that is new post in and of itself.

The other thing that was quite the extreme for me as opposed to Arizona was Easter egg hunt at Matt's work. In Arizona every year at the

primary
Easter Egg Hunt, we thought we were getting smarter. Thinking that we would freeze all the eggs that had chocolate, so that they would not be all meted by the time they were found and eaten. But guess what the results were…. Mushy, melted, goopy chocolate everywhere!!!!

Here in Utah…. Not a problem. The problem was the whole Easter egg hunt had to be moved to the indoors, because of the

ever so predictable Saturday Morning General Conference SNOW!!!! We did have fun though, Matt’s sisters and her kids came with us, Elena, would pick up two eggs, then put them down to pick up two more. The end result…..two eggs. Cody did great but was selective in getting mostly boy colored eggs.

This Saturday we did our own Easter egg hunt inside our house. The results were pretty much the same. Except for Cody didn't care what color he got, he just wanted to get them all. Elena was happy with getting her two.

We also had fun coloring Easter eggs. I guess fun is the right word, it was actually somewhat of a nightmare with Elena. 9 cups of Easter egg die and an 18 month old is not a good combo, but somehow we managed to not have any spills. So I guess the verdict is in.....whether Arizona or Utah, Easter is one of my favorite holidays.
It was great seeing all the pictures and reading about all you did. We sure loved having you all come to our house. Your Easter egg hunt and reading the details of the day at your house were great. I can't wait to get the picture of Elena!
