Cabo San Lucas

So today was day six of our cruise.  This is where the time starts to go way too fast as our cruise is well over half way over. We arrived in Cabo in the morning and throughly enjoyed our view from our balcony.

We only had one day at Cabo, but all we had planed to do was the beach, so it was all good.  The boat can't port right in Cabo, so you have to take a tender boat to the land.

And then you have to take a water taxi to the beach.  Well you could walk, but we didn't.  I am always a little nervous when we buy these water taxies.  You pay for round trip and hope your guy returns for you at your specified time.

The kids were so happy to be on the beach...probably one of their most favorite parts, and with good reason.  The water is clear and warm, the sand is soft and sandy and the tide is perfect!!!

Being the non adventurous person that I am becoming, I was perfectly content sitting on the beach and soaking it all in. Matt, he wanted to rent jet skies.  So he ended up just renting one and then switching the kids out at the half hour mark.  He and Cody went off together at first and Elena and I found a nice family, to sit next too.

Elena had fun playing with the kids, who were also friends from kids camp.  Everything was bliss until Elena got stung by a jelly fish.  It stung her pretty good and she was in a lot of pain.  Matt and Cody were still gone, so finally I decided to walk over to where we were going to switch the kids out.  A native saw Elena crying and pointed us to a medic station over at the restaurant.  They sprayed some blue spray (looked like windex) on her leg and hands.  I guess if you touch the sting, the poison can get on your hands and spread.

I didn't think to take a picture until later that day.  It had obviously improved greatly, but you can still see the sting a bit.  When Matt and Cody came to switch Elena out she was fortuanatly doing much better and it didn't seem to bother her anymore. When they came back we all enjoyed the beach and all it has to offer.
And now you get to enjoy the over load of beach pictures.

And then just like we had agreed on our Water Taxi guy came and got us.  And took us back to port, so we could get back to our ship.  Here is a picture of the kids with the Mexican Marines.  Such a great day at the beach!!!

When we got back to the boat, we realized it was formal night again!!!  We were really not in the mood to dress up, but we really wanted the food from the dinning room, so we got all showered and dressed.

We loved going to the family friendly comedy....Cody especially loved going to these.  Elena not so much, she was so tired that she fell asleep.  But must have had a great power nap as she was wide a wake and happy to get a little special treatment from dad!!!!
