We went to the Mesa Easter Pageant on Tuesday night. It was amazing. We have been once before when we were living in Sierra Vista

ally blown away

. We got there early to get good seats and grabbed some McDonald's to eat while we waited for the play to start. I am mad at myself for not taking hardly any pictures. The surroundings were just beautiful, with Palms all around on the one side and the other the view of the Mesa Temple. Couple that with the wonderful 80 degreee weather at dusk and a light breeze. We had about and hour to wait until the show star

ted. A teenage boy was sitting next to Cody and he was nice enough to let Cody hover over him as he played some game on his phone. (ya, I got a picture of that, but not the beauties around us.) I took Elena into the visitor center to see the Christus. I took a couple of pictures in front of it an

d then had her turn around and look up at Him. She stood there forever, so I just kept taking pictures. Finally I said come on Elena, lets go. She still just stood there. I said it again and still she kept standing there. I went up and got her and she just had this blank stare on her face. Come to find out...she was scared stiff. She cried for awhile and even from our seats kept looking over at it. I guess to a little one a Giant Statue of Jesus is a little frighting. I felt bad, but now she will look at the picture and say...he is not scary, Jesus is our friend.

The pageant was amazing as it was before, the kids loved it and were attentive the whole time...well Elena fell asleep at the end, and as you can see.... she was OUT!!! But it was a great night. Glad we were able to go and be a part of it.
look at you torturing your kids with Jesus! For shame! :)
