On

March 12th we crossed our twelve year mark

of marriage. Every year we say...this is it, this is the year we are going to do something big. But every year we have some excuse....(usually money has something to do with it) and we end up doing something un extravagant. This year we procrastinated as usual and then decided it would just be easier to go to Utah. Then, at the last minuet Matt got a killer deal on cruise tic

kets to Honduras or something like that. It was for a suite on the ship with a large private balcony 7 days of bliss....then came the kicker....the flight tickets to Florida were double the cost of the cruise. Being the cheep, practical, smart...what ever you want to call it kind of people we are....We decided to skip on it. So we loaded up the car and off we went to Utah. Now being in Utah, we not only get to see our families, but we have unlimited babysitters....perfect for our week of anniversaring. On Monday Matt and I took off for a session at the SL Temp

le and then spent the rest of the day down town....and ended with my FAVORITE!!!!(say favorite in an opera voice) THE MELTING POT!!!!! Really this day was perfect and we had soo much fun together! The rest of the week was kind of a blur, we saw a ton of movies, ate way too much popcorn/and junk food and somewhere in there we spent a few days

in Logan. Actually....we started just north of Logan at an awesome ski lodge....that's right we went skiing. We were both born and raised in Utah and neither of us had ever been skiing. We scrounged up some snow stuff (a big thank you to my 5 year old niece for letting me borrow your pink ear warmer). Rented some skies and sig

ned up for a learn to turn class. The class was awesome and I felt like for us being old farts, we caught on quickly. I was

surprised that we didn't have ski poles, but we learned to slow and stop by making a pizza/pie shape with our skis. SIDE NOTE: We often times quote Cramer from Signfield when he says....you make your own pizza pie!!! Anyways.... it became quite fitting when we were trying to slow or stop and we need to make the pizza pie with our skis. Well, towards t

he end of the day we tried one of the steeper hills (I think it was called the "Little Beaver") Well I got going

way too fast and was trying to make my pizza pie. You could hear me YELLING all the way down the mountain..."PIZZA PIE, PIZZA PIE!!!!"It was hilariouse. It started raining/snowing towards the end of the day and all the workers were saying how crapy the day was, but we didn't know any different. We were just loving it. We then headed back to Logan and checked into the A

nniversary Inn (The Pla

yers Club House). In the morning we went to the Pepperidge Farm Outlet and spent $70.00 on cookies and gold fish crackers....we may have gone a little overboard, I wish I had a picture of it all.

And than went to Gozners Cheese Factory and loaded up on the Pepper

Jack Cheese Ends. While we were gone the kids got Pink Eye, but we made it home just in time to

start them on their antibiotic eye drops. (thank you grandma for taking them to the Drs and playing mom for a few days.) All in all it was no cruise to Honduras, but it was an awesome anniversary week with my sweet heart. And can you believe it??? I'm still not sick of you yet.
Ever wondered what goes on in a road trip with our Family???? Here is your chance. Windows Down!!!!! Music Blasting!!!!! Middle of the Night!!!!! Middle of Nowhere!!!!!
We are so glad you guys came here. Looks you and Matt had fun. We had fun seeing you two and the kids. You look great in Caitlyn's pink ear warmer;)
